Eight Dollars Seventy Nine

With just $8.79 left in my bank account the other day, I had to come up with something pretty basic for dinner. So I went to the supermarket and spent exactly $8.45 on ingredients to cook up two bowls of Kakiage Udon Noodle Soup. It's really simple to make, it's just mixed vegetable tempura (made up of potato, carrots, onions, mushrooms), and Udon Noodle Soup served with mushrooms and nori. It was actually quite delicious and I'd definitely make it again... Amazing what you can create when cooking on a budget!
