Group Therapy

A lot of people will know by now that we are pretty much content with spending our weekends in cafes, people watching, sipping on a well made coffee and having a bite of something sweet. We were walking down Duxton Road, in fact we had just come out of The Pigeonhole on National Day, when we stumbled across Group Therapy just a few doors down. We first saw the sign out by the street and I happened to say something like "see that's what you need, a sign that's visible and is going to draw people in" And the next minute we were heading up the stairs to Group Therapy.

You could tell just by the nice fake green grass in the entrance that it was going to have a certain coolness about it! And it did! We were really amazed after just having a long discussion about what makes a really cool cafe. It's just amazing what a good vibe you can create just by turning the music up a little, having a cosy homely space with nice furnishings and having staff who are welcoming and passionate about being there.

It's nice to find places like Group Therapy that make for a pleasant cafe experience. Seems these places are hard to come by in Singapore, the ones when you leave and you know you'll be back again and again. We are definitely going back, since we live only 5 minutes away and if you're into good coffee and good food at really reasonable prices (who isn't?) then you should check it out. 49 Duxton Road. Opening hours are Mon-Thurs: 11:00am-6:00pm, Fri-Sat: 11:00am-11:00pm, Sun: 11:00am-5:00pm. We're always on the look out for new and cool cafe spaces so if anyone can suggest one that is not out in the middle of nowhere then please recommend:) And we are also super excited about opening our own cafe one day! Can't wait!
